    Bittersweet Nightshade, violet bloom nightshade, blue shooting star. (these have red berries, yes?)

    weed, toxic (not as toxic as you might think)

    treats skin disease syphilis bronchial and kidney issues

    counteracts witchcraft, especially as a charm worn by your livestock thought to be in danger from black magic.

    related to belladonna (deadly nightshade) and black nightshade (so pretty i think)

    more plants than you would think are classified as a nightshade, including

    tobacco

    ripping the leaves apart produces an unpleasant scent.

    if the berries are another color than red, let me know…
