I have more photographs of violets. I'm thinking of posting them, but there are several other types of flowers I want to feature first.

Violets bring subtle peace pleasure and cheer. said to contain both a pleasant smell and color that stimulates happiness in the brain for short periods.

folklore states you can only smell a violet once. maybe some truth to this as scientists state violets contain some technical element that can temporarily deaden certain scents, i dunno...

used to treat cancer, cough bronchial problems, skin problems, headaches and insomnia.

carrying violets in your pockets bring good luck.

if you dream of violets your life is about to change for better

harvesting the first violet in spring grants you a wish.

violets enhance prophetic dreams and divination, and if you combine the violets with lavender you get dreams of love.

add a cinnamon stick to that combo... look out!
