Obviously, they feel as if she did represent their own view of their masculine experience, and in that, she was successful. There is no way to encompass any group's experience in totem. The truth is, everyone's experience is different, and our macrocosm is really just billions of microcosms, which can only overlap with one another. Therefore, I think her idea, while an interesting one, is really just a change to her OWN experience, and not an experiment in someone else's. I find it interesting that so many people have endorsed it. Obviously, they feel as if she did represent their own view of their masculine experience, and in that, she was successful.
