A Web Log, a Pot of Joe, and Something About a Book
There has been far too long an interval between this update and the last, I admit. Ironically, one of the reasons for the delay has been my research into ways to simplify the updating process, i.e. the addition of a web log to the Cuparium (and/or my forthcoming mystery site (to be announced (soon))). [Observe, if you will, the nesting parentheses. At the end of the season they will migrate to other nests hundreds of miles away, guided only by natural instinct.] I shall be installing WordPress soon, but in the meantime I have also started a LiveJournal account at the nagging behest of some friends. There isn't much to see at the moment, but beginning now I shall mention all updates to the Cuparium, the Cuparium's web log, and any future sites at Mr. Cooper's Journal. In other words, Mr. Cooper's Journal will be primarily about what's new at Mr. Cooper's other Web sites and (och, I hate this word) blogs. Incidentally, I haven't decided on a "userpic." Don't rush me.
Exit Cuparius to fetch coffee.
Enter Cuparius bearing a cup of coffee.
SELF: Coffee at half past six in the evening? When you have work the next day! Are you mad?
SELF (pointedly): I think you know the answer to that. Besides, do you expect me to waste a perfectly good pot of Kenya AA?
SELF (incredulous): You brewed an entire pot? At this hour?
SELF: Yes, damn it. Now, get a hold of yourself, Self.
Anyway, I finished reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince at 2:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. Had I no other obligations, I would have finished it in two or three days, but instead it took me seven. I won't say much about it here, as I detest spoilers, but I will say that it was engrossing. I prefer Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, though. The DA is one of my favorite things in the series (and if you haven't read far enough to know what the DA is, don't expect me to spoil it for you).
That's all for now. Expect a link to the new Cuparius.com web log here soon. And yes, updates to the web log count as updates to the Cuparium, and therefore count toward the fulfillment of my New Year resolution. So there!
I'll keep posting if you keep reading. Be seeing you... :-?
