I read a fascinating article in the last issue of Military History Quarterly about the first contact between the Aztecs and the Spaniards, ending with the flight of Cortés from Tenochtitlan in which most of his party were killed or captured for sacrifice. I'll look at the new issue today at work to see if there is a follow-up article on the return of Cortés.
The current issue of Harper's Magazine has some interesting political articles. I'll leave you to see for yourself if you are of a mind to think about current events.
Military Heritage has an article about the world's first submarine, which was used during the American War of Independence or, as it is colloquially known, the American Revolution (or Revolutionary War). I'm also looking forward to reading the article on Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth Field during the War of the Roses.
And...
There is still nothing to watch on the telly.
