Snow Day
I awoke at 2:30 a.m. today to give myself enough time to get to work by 5:00 a.m., for I knew it would snow and the driving would be treacherous, but as it happened, I didn't go to work at all. The three counties through which I would have to drive are all in a state of Level 2 Snow Emergency. Due to the high winds, I've already cleared snow from my sidewalk and driveway twice, and I'll probably have to do it again before the end of the day.
Now I'm all dressed up with nowhere to go. I might venture across town later today, but I'm not sure what the road conditions will be. This would be a perfect time to do some writing (other than this update), but first I'll need to generate some more energy. Och, I just realized something: I need to eat. That just might do the trick, along with another pot of coffee. That's what I need to do. This would also be a good time to catch up on some reading. I am now in the middle of The Horse and His Boy. If the weather clears up a bit more, I think I might see the new Narnia movie today, too.
In convention news, I'm on the GM List for Origins 2006 in Columbus, Ohio, and plan to run at least four events. If you are thinking about attending, I encourage you not only to pre-register as soon as it is possible (I'll let you know when it starts), but also to sign up for one or more of my events (I'll let you know which ones). It will be fun! I promise!
In other game-related news, my brother found my copy of the Nuclear War Card Game! AT LAST! Pardon me, but do you have change for 25 million people? Sorry, old joke; poor taste. Nonetheless, Nuclear War, hooray!
I'd better start making lunch and brewing coffee before I forget again and fall asleep at my keyboard. I can't afford to waste my Snow Day!
I'll keep posting if you keep reading. Be seeing you... :-?
