Abandon Title!

Aye, and a miserable title it was. Count yourselves lucky to have missed that particular squall.

There I go, and it isn't even Talk Like a Pirate Day. I missed it! Curses.

The title was originally going to be "Fall," but then I started thinking about Berlin, Terri Nunn, hopeless infatuation, mortality, etc., so I decided to, well, abandon it. Hence the title.

The actual reason behind the first title is that I just noticed that despite my improvement over 2004's updates, I'm still way behind 2003's. I may have to start updating twice a week if I want to satisfy my New Year's resolution regarding the Cuparium. (I'm closing in on the coffeehouse resolution; I'm trying another one this Sunday.)

One thing that has been devouring my free time is my continued work in transforming one of my Web sites to Cascading Style Sheets (my first such attempt at CSS) at the same time that I am rendering each page to simple HTML and ASCII versions (to facilitate browser friendliness at all levels). My plan was vindicated when I saw how the site looked on Netscape Navigator 4.0 (horrible) and Opera 5.0 (not good) versus Internet Explorer 4.01 (not bad) and Internet Explorer 6.something (great). I'll try it on some other browsers when I can. It might be a few weeks before I can link it here for your mockery, I mean, amusement.

Eventually, the Cuparium will probably get the CSS treatment, but I need to think about it more.

Last Saturday, as I was driving across town (Findlay), I saw no fewer than 20 birds of prey flying in the vicinity of a school. I've never seen so many birds of prey in flight at one time in one place. I couldn't identify them since I was driving at the time and had no binoculars with me, but it was an amazing sight.

What other random anecdotes can I throw at you from the parapets of the Cuparium?

I was about to mention something about Sylvia Plath or James Bond, but I'll save it for later and let you wonder what must be going through my mind.

The next update will be Real Soon!

I'll keep posting if you keep reading. Be seeing you...       :-?
