Before I slumber, here is a quick update.

I don't have the photos from my puppet show at the Harry Potter night yet. When I do, I will post them here with an account of the event.

I still have not heard the final word on the fate of the bookshop where I was working until it closed (temporarily or permanently) at the end of June. Meanwhile, I am exploring alternatives.

I still kick arse at Mastermind (the board game). I hadn't played it since I was in elementary school, and I bought a new copy a year or so ago when I found one on sale. The board was redesigned, and I must say it's inferior in every way, but the game is still fun. I almost always solve it in four or five moves. I'd like to find my old copy, or one just like it.

I played Car Wars: The Card Game for the first time. Danny Boy, Linnville, and I won a round each and had a three-way 40 point tie until Linnville won the fourth duel. How long have I had this game before finally playing it? I think I bought it two or three years ago.

I wish I could find my copy of the Nuclear War card game by Flying Buffalo Inc. I bought a copy in the 1980s from a game shop in Milwaukee when I was in town for Gen Con. Somehow, I misplaced it. A new edition was released at Origins this year (late June, early July), but it's expensive. Maybe mine will turn up eventually.
