ELLO-HAY

3 October A.D. 2002 The Cuparium is brought to you by the sporadic efforts of the oft distracted Cuparius who would like to thank you for your patience and promises that the next update will be much better.

At the Cinema

I might see a movie or two this weekend, but until the next update I shall recommend The Time of Your Life from 1948, starring James Cagney and a glorious cast of character actors. It was directed by H.C. Potter and was adapted by Nathaniel Curtis from the play by William Saroyan. When you are in a mood to see some great actors having the time of their lives with some great eccentric roles, watch The Time of Your Life.

On the Telly

On the twenty-seventh I saw the premier of the CBS series Hack, starring David Morse. I only caught the last fifteen minutes, but it looks promising--much more promising than anything else on American television this season. Morse reminds me a bit of Michael Moriarty during his stint as Stone in the Golden Age of Law and Order, which was a gem of a television drama until he left. I think I'll keep my eye on this one for a few weeks. If it can maintain the level of quality I perceived in its pilot, I just might become a regular viewer.

Hack is on CBS on Fridays at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Quotations, Possibly?

Reporter: "I see you take your milk straight. How does it feel to save the world from monsters?"
GUTS Commander: "Why don't you ask Ultraman?"
--from Ultraman Tiga

I'll keep posting if you keep reading. Be seeing you...       :-?
